For Kevin K. Berg, criminal justice is about more than just being great at arguing. He brings a sincere passion to his work fighting for the rights of others. Kevin understands the service he provides as an attorney can make a significant impact on the lives of those he works alongside. As a native of Shreveport, his personal connection to this community is what fuels his commitment to delivering the very best legal assistance to his hometown. Kevin started his career with the Caddo Parish Public Defender's Office, where his dedication to criminal clients began to grow. In 2009 he opened The Berg Law Firm and quickly established himself as a valuable resource for jury trials, such as second degree murders, armed robberies, and drug distribution. He was even featured on the television show "Snapped" for his representation of Linda Passanetti. Advocacy has always been a major part of Kevin's legal path. He received his Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Louisiana State University, followed by attending Mississippi College School of Law. It was there he started to really showcase the promising future he would have in law, as well as his sincere dedication to helping others. He was instrumental in establishing a Law School Habitat for Humanity Organization, which led him to speak in Washington, D.C. He received several awards for his work while at law school, including the Advocacy Award, the Adams and Reese Pro Bono Award, and the prestigious Joseph Phillips Memorial Award as voted by his classmates. HIs compassionate work for others is rooted in his mission to help people succeed in life. Kevin truly believes by giving people a chance when they need it most, it gives them the opportunity to improve their own future. He wants to make a real difference in his client's lives, not just win court cases. He understands that a criminal charge is not just a legal matter — it touches every part of a person's life. His approach is direct, thorough, and always focused on the best possible outcome for the client. Nicole Holmes
WIth a mission for assisting those most in need, Nicole Holmes has dedicated her life to helping others in times of crisis. Her solution-oreiented mindset and unique experiences have been instrumental in her work as a trusted attorney with The Berg Law Firm. Nicole was born and raised in a small town in Mississippi. After high school, she attended the University of Southern Mississippi where she earned her Bachelor's degree as a double major in Political Science and Paralegal Studies. She then went on to attend Mississippi College School of Law where she served as a member of the highly respected Moot Court Board. While becoming a licensed attorney in Louisiana was incredibly rewarding, Nicole pursued other interests that make her an even more valuable resource to her clients. With a Master's degree in Communication Disorders from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, she is also a licensed Speech Language Pathologist in Louisiana. This experience has given her unique insight into healthcare, elder law needs, and special education law. Nicole stands ready to assist those facing obstacles from childhood to adulthood. From assisting parents in understanding the IEP process to navigating complex criminal defense, she is committed to helping find solutions. Seeing individuals overcome legal challenges with her guidance is the driving force behind everything Nicole works hard to accomplish.
